Are you an experienced rotating equipment specialist with strong expertise in turbomachinery and offshore project delivery?

 

TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer to drive the engineering, design, and delivery of critical rotating equipment across major development projects. This role is key to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of turbomachinery systems from concept through to commissioning and start-up.

Activities

Your Impact

As a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the design, selection, and optimisation of rotating equipment, including turbines, compressors, pumps, and power generation systems.
  • Oversee rotating equipment engineering across all project phases, from concept and FEED to construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Manage interfaces with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver on quality, cost, schedule, and HSSE targets.
  • Support procurement activities and oversee vendor performance, including technical evaluations, FAT, and equipment delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and provide technical support across fabrication, installation, commissioning, and multidisciplinary integration.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with at least 15 years of oil and gas experience, including 10 years in offshore rotating equipment and turbomachinery.
  • Proven experience across full project lifecycle, from development and detailed engineering to construction and commissioning in an operator or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, NFPA) and rotating equipment design practices.
  • Experience working with major OEMs and strong multidisciplinary engineering interface knowledge.
  • Professional Engineer certification preferred, with strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to work across office, yard, and offshore environments.
