As Data Scientist,  you will be responsible for developing an automated, robust, and sustainable tool for the extraction, consolidation, and analysis of TEEP USA’s financial and operational data.

The role includes building a unified and standardized historical database, integrating data from multiple sources: financial, accounting, land, geoscience, and external (operators), following a Master Data Management (MDM) schema.

The solution will leverage existing tools (SQL, Spotfire, Power BI, ARIES, LandVantage) to ensure adoption and usability across the subsidiary.

The resulting analyses will support cost tracking and optimization, budget comparison, performance measurement against forecasts, and variance analysis, contributing to effective decision-making and overall performance improvement.

Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

  • Engineering or Master’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics or engineering
  • A background in petroleum engineering is a plus


Technical skills:

  • Deep analytical and data management skills 
  • Knowledge in database management  
  • Basic understanding of Oil & Gas industry is advantageous


Computing skills :

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL & Python
  • Working knowledge of AI platforms such as Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Spotfire


Languages :

  • English: level C1 
  • French: level B2
