Context & Environment

Are you an experienced geoscience professional ready to drive highimpact subsurface evaluations in a fastgrowing upstream environment?

TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a highly capable Senior Geologist to lead static modelling, reservoir characterisation, and geological evaluation across a diverse and technically demanding subsurface portfolio. You will play a central role in integrating multidisciplinary data, narrowing subsurface uncertainties, and supporting major field development decisions.

Activities

Your Impact

As part of the Reservoir Development & Growth team of Subsurface department, you will:

  • Integrate geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir engineering datasets to build and refine static reservoir models for inplace volume assessment.
  • Develop workflows and apply multiscenario methodologies to reduce inplace volume uncertainty and strengthen field development planning.
  • Update and maintain static models to reflect the latest understanding of reservoir distribution and behaviour.
  • Lead planning, supervision, and interpretation of formation evaluation data and G&G technical studies.
  • Interpret 3D seismic datasets for structural geology, sequence stratigraphy, and 3D attribute analysis to enhance reservoir characterisation.
  • Support compliance with technical validation processes and regulatory sanction gates through regular engagement with internal teams, JV partners, and relevant authorities.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in geology with strong exposure to reservoir characterisation and field development.
  • Strong expertise across geological and geophysical domains, with working knowledge of petrophysics and reservoir engineering.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition workflows and operational requirements for drilling and production.
  • Proficiency with G&G software and modelling tools.
  • Motivated, proactive, and committed to highquality technical delivery.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as within integrated teams.
