Context & Environment

  • Supports reporting and tax personnel and is the property accounting liaison with plant accountants and Property Accounting. 
  • Adherence to the Company’s Internal Control Framework and procedures.
  • Adherence to Total Group rules, IFRS and USGAAP accounting rules. 
  • Ensures compliance with USGAAP and international accounting standards. 
  • Supports special projects related to Property Accounting. 
  • Coordinate with SSC in Philippines the tasks under their responsibility and review reconciliations. 
  • Supports the plants and SSC with any questions related to Property Accounting processes and SAP. 

Activities

The Property Accountant position is responsible for : 

  • Review AFEs, AFRs, AIS/PCF submitted by SSC before processing in SAP.
  • Prepares Monthly/Quarterly and EOY IFRS/US GAAP schedules and reports. 
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and/or annual tax reports. 
  • Participates and supports the annual budgeting process and LTP for capital expenditures, depreciation, and amortization forecasts for assigned business units. 
  • Supports Property Accounting Supervisor with SOX compliance testing as scheduled and maintains documentation of Tests and Controls as well as completed test documents. 
  • Prepares audit PBCs and respond to audit requests. 
  • Prepares files for the Annual Asset Review and make sure the retirements are processed. 
  • Creates the capex structure in SAP for the new year in January updating the current year budget. 
  • Creates new year WBS structure in SAP for assigned business units.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ Years of experience in accounting, property accounting preferred.
  • Accounting knowledge, data analysis ability, reconciliations skills, and SAP knowledge. 
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, problem solving and time management. 
  • General Accounting and property accounting knowledge.
