Are you a strong stakeholder manager with a solid understanding of exploration operations, regulatory engagement, and JV governance in the upstream Oil & Gas sector?


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Joint Venture Management Lead (SB/SK) to join our Assets, Subsurface & Planning division at TotalEnergies EP Malaysia. This role is critical in managing joint venture partner and regulatory relationships for exploration assets, ensuring compliance, alignment with strategic objectives, and maximizing asset value.

Activities

Your Impact

As a key member of the JVM Exploration team, you will:

  • Manage relationships with JV partners and regulatory bodies, notably PETRONAS–MPM, ensuring structured, compliant, and effective engagement
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for key governance forums including SOCM, TCM, and MCM, ensuring clear performance and financial visibility
  • Support exploration asset teams by acting as the interface between technical disciplines, JV partners, and external stakeholders
  • Oversee and coordinate financial processes, including AFE submissions and Year-End Reporting (YER)
  • Contribute to exploration asset reviews by coordinating inputs and ensuring timely, complete, and high-quality submissions
  • Support regulatory compliance and approvals in line with PSC and partner requirements

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Geoscience, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in upstream Oil & Gas, with at least 3 years in stakeholder or JV management
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, PSC/JV agreements, and upstream governance processes
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and planning/reporting systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills with high attention to detail
  • Fluent in English
