Context & Environment

Are you passionate about strategic planning and asset optimization in the upstream Oil & Gas industry? We are looking for an experienced Asset Planner to support the long-term planning and performance of Kenyalang assets (SK301B and SK313), ensuring alignment with Group objectives and JV priorities.

Activities

Your Impact

As a key contributor within the Assets, Subsurface & Planning team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain the annual Work Plan & Budget (WP&B) for Kenyalang assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory and JV requirements.
  • Prepare cost submissions and financial profiles for HQ and PETRONAS MPM, supporting transparent and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate the design of the 1–5-year asset strategy, integrating input from Operations, HSSE, Commercial, and Finance teams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement with PETRONAS MPM and internal teams to secure approvals and ensure clarity on WP&B execution.
  • Provide strategic insights to support operational decision-making and maximize asset value.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A university degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in upstream Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years in asset management, planning, and portfolio optimization.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, PSC agreements, and JV governance.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SAP (or equivalent).
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
