Context & Environment

The Operations Administrative Assistant will support the Operations department with various aspects of budgeting including analysis, planning and forecasting, as well as other administrative duties.   Will assist with communications between operations, accounting and finance.  This position will also act as an Administrator for various production applications.  Will work closely with internal IT to learn to provide technical support, data management and end user training on related applications.



Activities

  • Assist with corporate budgeting, planning and forecasting
  • Support operations groups within the company on strategic initiatives.
  • Learn to perform ad hoc financial analysis to enable the company to optimally allocate capital
  • Assist with building presentations and communicate financial information to senior level executives
  • Works as a liaison between operations, accounting and finance.
  • Will work with the operations teams to collect, update and provide Capital, Expense and G&A budge and forecast data to the financial planning team.
  • Will review financial planning information for reasonableness and completeness, identifying potential issues, and involve the necessary personnel to clarify and resolve.
  • Work with teams to analyze current month accounting data and proposed accounting accruals for reasonableness and to prepare analysis of variances from budget and previous forecast.
  • Assist in development, preparation and presentation of internal management reports.
  • Coordinate and resolve issues with accounting and operations
  • Assist with preparing reports and visualizations for management
  • Serve as Siteview Administrator
  • Act as administrator backup, provide technical support, data management, software upgrades, end user trainings and administrative tasks for various software (SharePoint, Wellview, FMP/Task Hub, AFE Nav).
  • Assist with Inventory Management and Material Transfer tracking
  • SOX controls testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Profile

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of oil and gas experience in Barnett Shale
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas accounting principles preferred
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas production operations preferred
  • Experience working with Siteview software
