Activities

 As the Internal Control and Audit Advisor, you will have an overall responsibility for supporting the Internal Control & Audit Manager in testing and evaluating business operations, risk management, and internal controls. Working together with various departments, you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain a strong internal control strategy.
  • Coordinate the internal audit program to ensure operational efficiency, asset protection, reliable reporting, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors and the TotalEnergies HQ internal audit team.

 

In essence, you can look forward to:

  • Performing testing of SOX controls and assisting in their implementation and deployment.
  • Conducting risk assessments to determine the scope of internal audits.
  • Tracking, reporting, and addressing audit actions, ensuring consistency in audit results.
  • Conducting audit tests, interviews, and observations to document findings.
  • Reviewing and discussing audit findings with process owners.
  • Participating in investigations of suspected fraud or compliance issues.
  • Educating the workforce on anti-fraud and compliance procedures.

Planning and executing audits related to vendor compliance with contract terms.


Candidate Profile

For effective and efficient internal control and audit processes, it is important that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization. This position calls for a proactive and detail-oriented individual. Therefore, strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments while ensuring on-time delivery are key in this role.

 

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a relevant discipline e.g. business, economics, auditing, finance.
  • Proven professional experience in internal control and audit.
  • Possibly Big 4 experience 
  • Strong understanding of internal control and risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in IT applications.
