Context & Environment

Position is based in Dubai with sporadic visits to the Site (Basrah, Iraq).

Activities

  • Prepare agenda and minutes of meeting of the project meetings (weekly and monthly meetings with the EPC Contractor, adhoc meetings with project stakeholders, etc).
  • Prepare and manage correspondence and other communications to project stakeholders.
  • Support the PEM/Project Director on the preparation, review and amendment, as necessary, of project execution plans, management plans, and project procedures to ensure the appropriate administration and management of the project.
  • Support the PEM/Project Director on the management of resources, and the coordination with providers and suppliers to buy necessary small equipment, PPEs or instruments, and to hire services required by the SPV and/or the project team for the execution of its activities (defining specifications/requirements, requesting quotations, and preparing POs together with CFO).
  • Support the Project Control Manager on the project reporting and planning, by coordinating with the different team members and stakeholders to collect necessary information and elements to update project schedule, KPIs and project risk management plan.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager on (i) the review and critical analysis of the procurement register submitted by the EPC Contractor by collecting and reviewing all necessary elements substantiating the progress reported in the register (including collecting information from OEMs and third-parties), (ii) the organization and coordination with relevant entities the attendance to FATs or the performance of expediting visits.
  • Support the Contract Manager on the preparation of letters and other contractual communications; on the analysis of contractor’s letters to propose way forward (as per contractual obligations); on the coordination of different participants in payment applications and approval processes; on the collection of elements and first level analysis to support the preparation of claims or responses to claims from contractor or other third-parties.
  • Promote experience sharing by preparing Lessons Learned together with the concerned project team members and/or construction team members.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Exposure to the energy sector through internships and/or first years of experience will be considered a plus.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and demanding clients.
  • Capacity to integrate a team and collaborate with all members with a constructive approach.
  • IT proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
