Activities

Join our affiliate TotalEnergies EP Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and become part of the Malaysia Exploration team.

As a Geologist, you will contribute to a regional exploration project aiming to rebuild and update the geological understanding of the Sarawak Basin, based on newly available seismic data and existing well information.

Working in close collaboration with a Geophysicist within a dedicated duo, your role will focus on regional geological synthesis and integration to support exploration decision-making.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the current state of regional geological knowledge of the basin and identifying key uncertainties.
  • Analyzing well data (markers, correlations, biostratigraphy inputs, depositional environments).
  • Contributing to regional geological and palaeoenvironmental synthesis, integrating structural geology and sedimentology concepts.
  • Participating in the integration of well data with regional seismic interpretation.
  • Contributing to the preparation of regional maps and geological syntheses supporting prospect identification and evaluation.
  • Preparing clear, concise and standardized technical deliverables.

This assignment offers a strong exposure to regional-scale exploration workflows in an international Exploration & Production environment and provides a solid foundation for a career in exploration geosciences within TotalEnergies.
