Join our affiliate TotalEnergies EP Suriname based in Paramaribo !

GranMorgu project is the first offshore development in Suriname, a total investment of 11 BUSD, involving the development of two fields, Sapakara and Krabdagu, with four reservoirs over water depths ranging from 100 to 1400 meters. Two drilling ships will be mobilized late Q4 2026 to drill 32 subsea wells (16 OP, 13 WAG, 2 GI, 1 WI) with a total drilling expenditure of 3 BUSD. The production facilities include a newly built FPSO, with an average oil treatment capacity of up to 220 kbopd and a gas treatment capacity of up to 500 MMscfd. 

As a geophyicist in the Geosciences&Reservoir team of the project based in Paramaribo you will contribute to : 
- the preparation of the development wells, well objectives definition, seismic targets, quantitative / qualitative prediction of reservoir content / fluid / pressure regime, net sand content, completed intervals and data acquisition strategy.
- static and dynamic synthesis. 
- the update of the Reservoir Management Plan: data acquisition and derisking strategy while integrating the latest development wells and production data. 
- the construction of the geophysics database, with the support of geoinformation.

Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or Master's in Geophysics/Petroleum Geosciences


Technical skills:

  • Graduate from Geophysics or Petroleum geosciences with little to no professional experience
  • Good analytical skills 
  • Basis in geophysical acquisition and interpretation


Computing skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Geophysics tools 
  • Python is a plus 


Languages:

  • English: level B2 /C1 (written and oral)
  • French: level B2


NB : Driving license is essential
