Join our affiliate TotalEnergies Holding Belgium in Brussels !

The European Public Affairs Department (DAP Europe), based in Brussels, represents TotalEnergies’ interests and promotes the Company’s objectives with the European institutions. Its work mainly focuses on monitoring the European Green Deal (Fit for 55, RePowerEU, Clean Industrial Deal), European competitiveness and reindustrialization (Industrial Accelerator Act), and administrative simplification (Omnibus), identified by the European Commission as key priorities for the 2024–2029 term, as well as issues related to decarbonization and energy security.

As an European Policy Officer, you will join a team of 10 people in the heart of Brussels.

The main activities will be as follows :

  • Monitoring legislative activities of European institutions
    • Supporting the team in researching and analyzing legislative texts, in particular in the context of the implementation of the program of President von der Leyen’s second Commission.
    • Drafting flash notes.
    • Contributing to exchanges between DAP Europe and the Company’s business segments.
    • Supporting the organization and follow-up of meetings with European institutions: Commission, Parliament, and Permanent Representations.
    • Monitoring and mapping events in Brussels, tracking and participating in selected meetings with European institutions, as well as forums and surrounding think tanks.
  • Media monitoring and participation in DAP Europe’s communication activities
    • Monitoring specialized publications on European affairs.
  • Organization of public events aimed at networking and highlighting TotalEnergies’ activities (via conferences, seminars, breakfast meetings, etc.).


Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Political Science or European Public Affairs or equivalent profile


Soft-skills and technical skills:
  • Rigor

  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment
  • Sense of respect and confidentiality 
  • Strong interpersonal skills


Computing skills:
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital tools in general


Languages:

  • English: level C1 minimum
  • French: level C1 minimum
