TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking an energetic and purposedriven Sustainability Officer to strengthen the deployment of our Sustainability Roadmap, enhance internal engagement, and elevate our performance across the Group’s Five Sustainability Levers. This role sits within the HSSE & Sustainability division and plays a critical part in shaping how we operate responsibly and transparently in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Activities

Your Impact

As the Sustainability Officer, you will:

  • Lead the development and rollout of sustainability communication plans, engaging teams at both office and site levels.
  • Coordinate the affiliate’s progress on the Five Sustainability Levers (L1–L5), consolidating action plans and monitoring KPIs.
  • Organize major internal engagement events, including the twiceyearly SustainabALL Day.
  • Support updates and reporting to management, ensuring achievements and action plans are reflected in affiliate and Group dashboards.
  • Represent the affiliate in PSC partner exchanges and the Group’s Sustainability Officers Network.
  • Maintain stakeholder mapping and support the delivery of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, ensuring alignment with PETRONAS and Group expectations.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, Professional Certificate, or Diploma in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility, or environmental & social performance.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with sustainability concepts including GHG emissions, environmental and social performance, and ESG reporting frameworks.
  • An understanding of regulated industries or previous interaction with stakeholders such as PETRONAS MPM, DOSH or DOE is an advantage.
