Integrated Power Modelling (IPM), in OneTech Technical Line Power, supports the company’s technological ambitionin the digitalization of renewable energies value chain. It brings together cross‑domain expertise (scientific and digital) to deliver digital products with the goal of maximizing both the performance and value of renewable assets (solar, wind, energy storage).
It is built around four platforms, each oriented towards internal business clients (GRP, REN, FPI,Trading, etc.): Origination & Design, Grid Integration, Operations Performance & Optimization, and Forecasting. Each platform is structured into three teams: Product Solutions (PS), Research & Capability Development (RCD) and Software Delivery & Operations (SDO).
The Origination & Design platform’s products focus on improving our designs, energy yield assessment and costs, in order to maximize the value of our renewable projects and future assets. By design, these domains are data intensive and require integration of most advanced digital solutions.
Within our Research & Capability Development team, you will join the Solar Resource & Yield team, a dynamic and diverse group of Solar PV enthusiasts committed to advancing solar energy within TotalEnergies.
The team currently consists of engineers and scientists and contributors (post-docs, PhD candidates, engineers, subcontractors), all working together to deliver cutting-edge modeling tools for solar resource assessment and PV energy yield prediction. In addition to the core team, the activity is supported by two roles within the same platform but outside the Solar Resource & Yield team: A Product Manager, who ensures smooth interaction with internal customers. A Product Owner, who oversees the industrialization and deployment of the models developed.
As Solar Resource & Yield Engineer, you will focus on Resource Assessment and will be responsible for the designand development of numerical models for solar resource projection and analysis of solar meteorological data. These models are critical for supporting project development and optimizing asset operations across the electricity value chain. Acting as a technical referent you will coordinate activities of the team, ensuring alignment and delivery of high quality solutions to internal stakeholders and business units.
