We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Senior Drilling Engineer to join our high-performing team at TotalEnergies EP Malaysia. This role is critical in planning and executing drilling operations that meet the highest standards of safety, cost-efficiency, and technical excellence.

Activities

Your Impact

As a key member of the Drilling & Wells team, you will:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of drilling programs for exploration, development and abandonment of wells.
  • Ensure compliance with PETRONAS and TotalEnergies standards, including HSE and well integrity requirements.
  • Collaborate with subsurface, operations, and service partners to optimize well delivery.
  • Prepare detailed well proposals, AFE estimates, and end-of-well reports.
  • Monitor real-time drilling performance and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Support tendering and contract management for drilling-related services.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, peer reviews, and technical audits.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

  • A Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling engineering, with exposure to offshore operations.
  • Strong knowledge of well design, drilling fluids, casing design, and rig operations.
  • Experience with subsea wells design and execution.
  • Experience in P&A design and execution.
  • Familiarity with PETRONAS procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in drilling engineering software (e.g., WellCat, WellPlan or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses a current and valid IWCF Level 4 certification.
