Internal:

• Maintain consistent daily communication regarding all operational and HSSEQ-related activities within the GMU.
• Oversee and coordinate shift operations on the GMU shop floor to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on production goals and safety standards.

External:

• Liaise effectively with the laboratory, maintenance, blending, and logistics departments to support seamless production and operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely coordination with external support teams to address technical or logistical issues impacting production.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication to uphold quality and safety standards across departments.

• Adhere to all Quality, HSSEQ (Health, Safety & Environment), Energy policies, procedures, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
• Promptly report any incidents or hazards to the Production Executive.
• Operate grease utilities, processing, and filling equipment efficiently and safely.
• Continuously monitor the work area for potential inefficiencies or risks and suggest improvements.
• Provide training to new operators and assistants on relevant job functions.
• Ensure the grease cooking and filling processes are executed according to instructions from the Executive, aligned with the production schedule and HSSEQ standards.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks independently, such as cleaning strainers and filters.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the shop floor.
• Immediately report any abnormalities to the Production Executive.
• Collect batch samples in accordance with process parameters and coordinate with the QC laboratory for analysis.
• Accurately document production data in batch sheets, registers, and checklists.
• Record daily activities in the shift logbook.
• Receive materials during the shift and track their usage for inventory control.
• Support the Grease Production Executive and Manager as needed.

HSSEQ Objectives & Assignments:

·         To understand and adherence to the current regulatory requirements applicable to the areas of responsibilities 

·         Reporting of near misses, incidents, hazards and injuries to line Manager within the time frame as required by Quality, HSSEQ & Energy policies and Manuals.

·         Ensure no HSSEQ incidents occur due to negligence, carelessness or overconfidence.

·         Ensure vigilance and care at all times during the operation time so that operation is productive.

·         Ensure Safe handling of all raw materials, packaging & finished products by operators.

·         Strict adherence and compliance towards Group HSSEQ Charter & MAESTRO requirement and affiliate’s HSSEQ Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all time.

·         Demonstrates exemplary conduct, rigor, vigilance and professionalism regarding HSSEQ in all their activities

·         Ensure adherence to compliance processes and guidelines specific to position’s roles and responsibilities.

·         To contribute, meet and improve upon the KPI & EnPI targets as set towards overall HSSEQ & Energy objectives.

·         Selection and availability of applicable PPE's at all time and ensuring the strict use of PPE's in work area of responsibility.

·         Take part in the training program to acquire HSSEQ knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as and when required by Management.

·         Participate in the safety risk assessment, health risk assessment, planed general inspections, loss control tours and other kind of audits as per the TELBU HSSEQ requirements.

·         Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents as and when required.

·         Carry out role as assigned during emergency preparedness.
 

Compliance Objectives:

·         Ensure full adherence to the company’s compliance program, its policies and procedures including economic sanctions and export control in all professional activities.

·         Promptly notify the compliance officer/economic sanctions referent of any instances of noncompliance or violations of economic sanctions or export control that is noticed.

Job Related Objectives & Assignments:

·         Ensure optimum utilization of resources to reach daily Production targets

·         Ensure that shift operations of GMU are well coordinated to lead to acceptable productivity levels without compromising on HSSEQ requirements.

·         Train and guide his subordinates adequately for achieving the daily production plans & filling targets

·         Strict adherence to HSSEQ requirements in GMU works area with full authority to stop any operation or machinery for safety reasons or emergencies.

Knowledge: 

• Working knowledge of grease processing & filling equipment
• Basic knowledge of HSSEQ management systems
• Basic Knowledge of Energy Management
• Basic knowledge of lubricants, especially greases 
• Should have working knowledge in the handling and storage of chemicals
• Knowledge of stock control & recording of daily material usage
• Must be proficient in the use of emergency equipment such as fire, spill & first aid equipment

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in grease manufacturing or a related petrochemical plant, with a focus on operations and/or maintenance, is essential.
• Proven ability to perform minor maintenance tasks, including servicing pumps, valves, and filters.
• Basic computer literacy is preferred, with familiarity in using standard office applications.
• Practical experience in using fire safety and first aid equipment, such as fire extinguishers, hoses, and first aid kits.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) systems, particularly their application on the shop floor.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating with operations, laboratory, maintenance teams, and supplier delivery personnel.
• Possesses basic team leadership capabilities and the ability to guide junior staff when required.
