Are you a strategic thinker with deep expertise in upstream planning, performance monitoring, and portfolio management in the Oil & Gas industry?

 

We are looking for a results-driven and collaborative Planning Lead to oversee long-term business planning, performance tracking, and decision-making support within TotalEnergies EP Malaysia.

Activities

Your Impact

As part of our Assets and Planning team, you will:

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of TotalEnergies’ Long-Term Plan (LTP) and PETRONAS’ Annual Work Programme & Budget (WP&B).
  • Consolidate asset performance and support portfolio analysis to inform high-level decisions.
  • Interface across technical, finance, and strategy teams to ensure robust planning alignment and operational integration.
  • Provide critical insights on PSC performance and ensure compliance with both internal KPIs and PETRONAS’ performance standards.
  • Act as focal point for key planning reviews and performance evaluations, including Statement of Current Management (SOCM) sessions with PETRONAS.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

We seek an experienced planner and performance advisor with the vision and detail orientation to lead cross-functional planning operations. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Business, Petroleum Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in planning, budgeting, or petroleum economics within the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills for handling complex datasets and performance metrics.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, PSC fiscal terms, and cost control processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities independently while remaining adaptable in a dynamic energy environment.
  • This position is open to Malaysian citizens or permanent residents only.
