Your role

As an Operational Cybersecurity Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the cybersecurity of both IT and industrial systems at one of our major industrial sites. Acting as the local cybersecurity expert, you work closely with corporate cybersecurity teams and local IT teams to implement, maintain, and improve cybersecurity processes and solutions.

You are at the crossroads between operations, technology, and security, contributing directly to the protection of people, assets, and data.

Activities

  • Implement and maintain group cybersecurity standards and processes at local level
  • Act as the local cybersecurity point of contact for operational teams
  • Support the protection of industrial and corporate IT environments
  • Monitor cybersecurity activities, risks, and incidents, and provide reporting
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and cybersecurity exercises
  • Support local IT teams with cybersecurity expertise and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes and tools

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
  • Initial experience (2–3 years) in cybersecurity within an enterprise or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and security (Windows Server, virtualisation, networks, etc.)
  • Interest in or exposure to industrial / OT cybersecurity is a strong asset
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
  • Dutch and English are required
  • French is an asset
