Context & Environment

The Midstream Marketing Representative is responsible for maintaining the relationships with TotalEnergies E&P Barnett’s (TEEP Barnett) gas gatherers and working with TotalEnergies gas marketing affiliated companies to ensure the optimal price for the company's natural gas products.

Activities

  • Maintains relationships with all of the midstream/gathering companies that gather TEEP Barnett’s production.
  • Coordinates relations with all midstream/gathering companies with TotalEnergies Gas & Power, North America (“TEGPNA”).
  • Ensures that those midstream/gatherers are in compliance with the respective gas gathering agreements.
  • Works with midstream/gathering companies and TEEP Barnett operations to maintain system operations and continuous gathering of TEEP Barnett’s gas.
  • Negotiates and coordinates all projects with the gas midstream/gathering companies, ensuring timely completion of all projects at the most advantageous cost to TEEP Barnett.
  • Works with TEEP Barnett operations and TEGPNA to set the monthly gas nominations for TEEP Barnett.
  • Working with TEGPNA, obtains alternate markets of company production through spot sales or application of transportation and exchange agreements. 
  • Works with TEEP Barnett management and TGPNA to negotiate agreements with midstream/gas gathering companies.
  • Provides support and analysis related to midstream/gas gathering to all TEEP Barnett strategic initiatives,
  • Independent in full range of marketing duties to include assessing competition.
  • Extensive contact with customers, with counterparts in other companies, and membership in trade associations. Maintains working knowledge of laws regulating oil and gas sales.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in the oil & gas (upstream, midstream or downstream) industry is required.
  • Midstream scheduling and gas control background preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and negotiations skills are required for this position.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to effectively work with natural gas group, accounting, legal, and Midstream departments.
