Education: Bachelor in Naval Engineer or Nautical Sciences, preferably with post-graduation in management or engineering area. 

Professional Experience: Good knowledge about marine logistic operations including work in ports, shore base, contractor facilities and vessels. Good knowledge about HSE in Oil & Gas industry including risk assessment for marine operations. Good knowledge about international standards such as: IMCA, MTS, OCIMF, IOGP, etc. Good knowledge about international and national regulation applied to marine operations.


Activities

The job holder provides expertise in the specialist field of marine engineering and operations to support affiliate’s marine activities as required by Company referential, including exploration, development and production activities (operations with drilling rigs, construction vessels, IMR, PSVs, AHTS, terminal tugs and crew boats, if any). 


Technical assistance includes but it is not limited to: 

Schedule, plan, prepare, manage and supervise offshore marine operations. 

Conduct LSO marine CFT process, technical and operational follow-up of vessels under contract with LSO division. 

Contribute to the technical evaluation and selection of all offshore support vessels and drilling rigs for compliance with the company requirements and the established referential. 

Ensure the correct implementation and application of the Company rules related to marine and HSE subjects by Contractors. 

Monitor operations of all vessels in relation with LSO contracts.

Provide coaching to marine contractors upon needs and demonstrate ability to manage the interface with major marine contractors, from different cultures.

Supervise marine personnel onshore and offshore.

Ensure the preparation/supervision of rig moves and other marine related operations. 

Assist and support during emergencies involving firefighting, anti-pollution, search and rescue operations.

Monitor the major work carried out at dry-dock and ship repair yards for Company contracted vessels, if applicable, and potentially for Brazilian non-operated assets, when applicable.

Ensure the vessels, machinery, cranes and auxiliary marine equipment are running and complying with company procedures.

Ensure that the Preventive Planned Maintenance Programs are met for all marine units involved in company marine operations.

Follow-up and monitor the maintenance programs carried out by contracted marine vessels and to ensure corrective action plans are following Company standards and contractual obligations.

Assist in the preparation for special assignment of vessel (s) when moving to sites, as and when required.

Perform the duty of marine advisor onboard or special assigned vessels during critical project operations within the fields. 

Ensure all operations under service holder’s supervision are conducted safely and within agreed SLA's. 

Provide regular reports and updates to the Support to Operations Manager about operations and vessels’ status.

Provide feedback for Marine Contract Service Quality Meetings. 

Assist with the development and propose revision of marine procedures in compliance with the Company referential.

Monitor and propose corrective actions to marine related anomaly reports and vessels action trackers. 

Assist Contractor marine operations, procedure analysis and follow up of their application on site. 

Ensure all offshore support vessels and drilling rigs are vetted as per OVID protocol.

Ensure all dynamically positioned vessels are selected and operated in compliance with Company referential.

Conduct acceptance inspections and tests during mobilization of offshore support vessels and drilling rigs.

Issue the Entry Permit for offshore support vessels and drilling rigs in compliance with the Company referential.

Support other areas of LSO team when needed, including aviation, underwater, lifting, shorebase, etc. 


Accountabilities:

Ensure safe and efficient marine operations within affiliate’s perimeter. 

Ensure the Offshore Support Vessels and Drilling Rigs are compliant with applicable marine regulations and Company requirements. 

Day-to-day management of the marine contracts for Logistic Vessels. 

The employee shall perform his/her activities in compliance with the HSE Management System, aligned with One Maestro Principles and oriented to safeguard the integrity of people, bearing in mind to preserve the environment and resources by contributing to improve our energy efficiency and decarbonization of Company’s assets and reputation.


Context & Environment

LSO department provides the Logistics and the Support to Operations within TotalEnergies EP Brasil affiliate. As such LSO supports: 

Drilling, Development/Construction and Production activities in LAPA field.

Any operations in non-Operated assets. 

Exploration campaigns projects.

Research & development projects related to new technology in the field of Support to Operations.

High-Cost environment with stringent local Brazilian regulations.

Deepwater and ultra-deepwater environments. 


Job Dimensions:

The job holder works under direct supervision of the Support to Operations Manager and as such is a member of the LSO department. 

This position will act as the focal point for marine subjects within the affiliate, but also support LSO team in other topics, including Aviation, ROV, Lifting, etc. 

Office base Rio de Janeiro with onshore and offshore site missions. 

Teamwork within a lean structure. 

There are no persons under his direct supervision.
