Activities

As a Flow Assurance Engineer, you will assist in process optimization to enhance production efficiency and safety. You will perform and supervise comprehensive process and flow assurance studies, providing timely support to offshore operations to resolve process and flow assurance-related issues. Additionally, you will facilitate competence and knowledge transfer to other team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled work environment. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements in safety and operational performance. You will also monitor and report on activities, identify and implement improvements, and ensure all operations meet quality, plan, and budget requirements.
 
 These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as: 

  • Conducting and endorsing flow assurance studies to optimize production, and for field development when necessary.
  • Endorsing updates of flow assurance aspects of field Operating Philosophy.
  • Document owner for flow assurance related affiliate documentation and updates the flow assurance documents as operating conditions evolve.
  • Preparing, reviewing and updating operating guidelines and verifies proper implementation on site.
  • Providing support for Commissioning, Start-up, Ramp-up & Shutdown activities on site.
  • Providing flow assurance assistance to day-to-day Operations (trouble shooting).
  • Actively participating in the monitoring & optimization of flow assurance processes.
  • Providing technical assistance to field management for decision-making.
  • Preparing Scope of Work for flow assurance studies and reviewing flow assurance studies performed by 3rd parties.
  • Participating in technical audits 
  • Contributing to the evolution of tools and work methods.
  • Providing relevant info to other disciplines -Process, Well Performance, Development planning, etc.
  • Interfacing with HQ specialists and provide relevant feedback.

Candidate Profile

Your background

  • Education: MSc in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Professional Experience: proven flow assurance experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Required Skills: Familiarity with the use of process and flow assurance simulation tools such as UNISIM, HYSIS, OLGA, etc.
  • Language: Fluent spoken and written English
