Activities

With the continued expansion and complexity of assets within the GRP branch in North America, the finance department is seeking a consolidation senior analyst to oversee the consolidation processes and support new business opportunities. More than 45 companies consolidated quarterly in IFRS. Involvement in significant transactions for the Company (acquisitions or disposals, etc.). Numerous contacts and stakeholders: REN, FPI, GRP and Company Finance Department, other internal department managers, etc. 


Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Finance Director – Consolidation, New Business & JV Oversight, the individual in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the iPower affiliates consolidated financial statements in compliance with the IFRS accounting framework.
  • Provide documentation for the US Management, GRP branch and the Company.
  • Provide technical financial expertise for projects undertaken by the finance department and REN and FPI in general.


Delivery of IFRS Technical Research & Company Level Liaison: 

  • Answer IFRS accounting questions addressed to the Finance department and participate in the preparation of accounting memos, work closely with Branch Finance team and HQ Consolidation department to research and align accounting treatments.
  • Prepare technical accounting memorandums on all major transactions for accounting files, HQ validation, and audit support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with GRP and HQ Consolidation team contacts to ensure consistency of interpretation of IFRS to US businesses.


Quarterly Consolidation Oversight & Audit Leadership: 

  • Plan and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all consolidated reporting packages and phases (ODAS, Portfolio, CONSO, Annex, DFTAX) for all subsidiaries in scope.
  • Act as the primary consolidation liaison point for accounting team during closing on consolidation questions and procedures (Preparation / anticipation / follow-up of the closing).
  • Lead the US auditor engagement process on any topics requiring auditor review and sign off.
  • Ensure US Holdings team members are well briefed on all matters impacting on the US Holdings consolidation and prepare quarterly activity reports as necessary.

 

Train and Develop Local Staff:

  • Lead local training on IFRS Consolidation and CAP reporting tools to ensure the local US staff are trained and understand the handling of the various transactions within the packages (FMV Step-up, tax equity financing, farm-downs etc).
  • Prepare memorandums and reference materials to support future transactions within the scope.
  • Prepare procedures & streamline and simplify the consolidation preparation files across all subsidiaries within scope. Ensure controls are embedded within spreadsheets.

 

New Project and New Business Support:

  • Serve as the primary US Technical Accounting liaison for all new investments, divestments, financing arrangements, tax equity transactions, or farm down activities within the US GRP perimeter.  
  • With your N+1, engage with key stakeholders to align and ensure consistent understanding of projects and their financial impacts (Gains on Sale, Net CAPEX, ROACE, CMO etc).
  • Ensure the Head of Finance is appropriately briefed on all material risks and accounting issues within the transaction perimeter.

Candidate Profile

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or other related fields.
  • CPA Required.


Skills:

  • Strong background in consolidation and financial reporting (5 years+) in IFRS standards (Group/Audit Firm). 
  • Sense of organization, autonomy, initiative, analytical and synthesis skills, rigor.
  • Ability to develop good quality internal and external relationships, work in a group, synthesize complex topics and present them to management and headquarter teams.
