As Aviation Lead at TotalEnergies, you will provide operational leadership for aviation across offshore installations in Danish waters covering helideck operations, helicopter refueling, and coordination of offshore drone activities. You will work closely with helicopter operators, OIMs, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aviation services.

Activities

Key Responsibilities

As Aviation Lead, you will be responsible for providing safe and cost-efficient Aviation services to (internal) clients within the allocated budget, for the provision of technical assurance within the Aviation domain, and for the management of Aviation contracts and the related performance towards TEPDK (TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Denmark) business objectives. Accountable for the operational execution of the contract assigned to the role holder by the Contract Owner.

 

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversee daily helideck operations and manage helicopter traffic across installations, including when additional rigs/vessels are present
  • Review schedules, restrictions, and helideck availability to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Maintain operational readiness through Helideck Status Dashboard oversight, weather monitoring, and assessment of operational limitations/contingencies
  • Coordinate helicopter refueling operations, ensure fuel quality compliance, and resolve day-to-day operational issues while prioritizing flight activities
  • Establish and maintain the framework for offshore drone operations, including required authorizations
  • Coordinate drone activities (environmental monitoring, inspections, filming) with internal stakeholders and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with Danish airspace and drone-operations regulations and liaise with relevant authorities
  • Support audits, assessments, risk reviews, and incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement within QMS/SMS together with our Aviation Quality Manager
  • Maintain and improve aviation documentation and systems (Helideck Manual, Jet Fuel Manual, Drone Manual, and IQSMS implementation/training)
  • Oversee daily helideck operations and manage helicopter traffic across installations, including when additional rigs/vessels are present
  • Review schedules, restrictions, and helideck availability to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Manage key operational interfaces with Trafikstyrelsen, helicopter operators, OIMs/TEPDK departments, TTE HQ Aviation, and drone service providers

Candidate Profile

What we are looking for 

  • 15 years relevant experience 
  • Solid knowledge of Danish aviation regulations (BL series) and applicable EU regulations/requirements
  • Solid knowledge of CAP 437, ICAO Annexes, JIG, EASA and related guidance, and other applicable regulations/standards
  • Experience with North Sea helideck standards and offshore aviation operations
  • Understanding of helicopter performance, limitations, and operational risk controls
  • Knowledge of aviation fuel systems and fuel quality standards/compliance
  • Knowledge of Danish drone regulations and operational procedures (authorizations, airspace compliance)


Finally it is an advantage if you have

  • Experience in weather assessment, operational decision-making, and emergency response principles
  • Experience working within QMS/SMS frameworks, including audits, compliance monitoring, and risk management supporting our Aviation Quality Manager
  • Strong listening and communication skills, with sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • Significant change-management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, constantly changing environment
  • Experience in leadership roles and openness to potential people management responsibilities, including direct reports
  • Fluency in Danish is an advantage
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
