TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking an experienced Asset Planner / Joint Venture Management Lead to play a key role in coordinating Joint Venture governance, regulatory engagement, and integrated planning activities across multiple assets. This role is central to ensuring structured stakeholder management, compliance with PSC/JOA frameworks, and highquality decision support across JV partners and PETRONASMPM.

Your Impact

As the Asset Planner / JVM Lead, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate Joint Venture governance activities, including Technical, Management, and Steering Committees, ensuring quality documentation, decision tracking, and followup actions.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with JV partners and PETRONASMPM through transparent, consistent, and compliant engagement.
  • Oversee regulatory coordination and submissions, ensuring alignment with local compliance requirements across asset teams.
  • Drive JV financial governance, including AFE, YearEnd Reporting (YER), and cost transparency in partner communications.
  • Facilitate integrated planning and performance reviews, consolidating crossfunctional inputs to support aligned decisionmaking.
  • Identify governance risks and alignment gaps while acting as a central interface to ensure clear communication of performance, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of upstream oil and gas experience, with exposure to JV governance, stakeholder management, or planning roles.
  • Strong understanding of PSC/JOA frameworks, regulatory requirements, and JV governance processes.
  • Experience in financial planning and reporting, including AFE and YearEnd Reporting coordination.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage governance and compliance processes effectively.
