Being able to create portfolio value in the US (ERCOT and PJM as starting cases) is one of the pillars of the Flexible Power & Integration Business Unit. It is one of the foundation stones for TotalEnergies’ Power Businesses to be able to reach more than 10% return on the Integrated Power Business. 

The Long-term Term Integrated Power Portfolio Manager is responsible for the long‑term economic valuation, performance, optimization of Integrated Power Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities include: 

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in the US and at Headquarter, including long-term contracts negotiation, fundamental market analysis, energy management, Trading, Risk Management, Finance, Business Development, to give quantitative views on revenue streams and exposures. Effectively communicate with senior management and other stakeholders to get insights and get the deals done and profitable.

Structuration: Structure Clean Form Power, PPAs, tolling agreements to maximize profitability while mitigating risk. Structure risk allocation between asset owner and trading and implement corresponding internal contracts. Coordinate with asset managers, from both Flexible Power and Renewables teams to ensure operational feasibility of structured deals.

Model Development and Use: Develop, use and master accurate models and algorithms to simulate the value of assets or portfolio (Value at Risk, M&A, Pricing). Define and monitor the economic performance and value drivers of the portfolio over the long term... Connect efficiently with other models in the Company such as the Nodal Market Models ) to translate market outlooks into portfolio-level implications.

Support Investment Decisions: Assist M&A teams and Business Development teams in the preparation of investment proposals by delivering valuation of energy margins, including presentations to approval committees.

Industry Awareness: Monitor FERC, ISO/RTO, state-level policies and wholesale market trends (e.g., capacity auctions, ancillary services) that impact long-term asset and portfolio value and deal structuring. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the power sector. Participate at industry conferences, events, and regulatory forums. Share pricing and structuration expertise internally, positioning the team as a thought leader in the power value chain of TotalEnergies.

Profil der Bewerberin/des Bewerbers

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master's degree in economics, finance, engineering, or a related field required.

• Proven experience (10-15 years) in asset valuation, energy management, risk management or long-term deal structuration or a similar analytical and commercial role within the energy sector required.

• In-depth knowledge of ERCOT and/or PJM markets, including electricity pricing, market fundamentals, regulatory frameworks, and policy dynamics required.

• Knowledge of power assets operations (CCGT, Renewables)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders required. Project management skills are a plus.

• Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and data modelling. Master of Excel. Experience with statistical software (such as Python, R, or MATLAB) and Modelling softwares (such as BID3, Plexos or PSO) is a plus.

• Demonstrated industry awareness and a track record in the power market domain.

• Knowledge of energy industry trends and renewable energy & CCGT technologies is highly desirable.
