🎯 Position Context & Key Challenges

Within the OneTech Branch, TotalEnergies’ technical community, and based at the TRTG site in Le Havre, you will directly contribute to the operational performance of the Company’s industrial assets.

Advanced Process Control (APC) and process optimization are key levers to improve operational stability, energy efficiency, emissions reduction and overall process value creation.
 This strategic role involves highly diverse environments depending on the sites (APC maturity, control systems, process typologies, local competencies, etc.). You will work closely with site teams to support, deploy and continuously optimize APC solutions.

🌍 Location & Working Conditions

  • Permanent position based at TRTG (Le Havre).
  • Regular travel to TotalEnergies industrial sites within the Exploration & Production and Refining & Chemicals branches.

Aktivitäten

🛠️ Your Responsibilities

1. Process Control

  • Design and optimize complex control loops.
  • Analyze control schemes, identify improvement levers and contribute to enhancing process stability and energy performance.
  • Implement proposed improvements and carry out post-audits in collaboration with site teams.

2. Advanced Process Control (APC)

  • Contribute to defining and deploying APC roadmaps together with local teams.
  • Perform preliminary studies (benefit studies) and estimate associated budgets.
  • Develop APC applications, conduct step tests and lead commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams (process, instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, etc.).
  • Monitor the performance of APC applications during operation.

3. Support & Troubleshooting

  • Support industrial sites in resolving issues related to process control or APC applications.

4. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure the long-term sustainability of APC applications in operation and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

5. Network Animation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Actively contribute to the APC professional network led by PCO.
  • Capitalize on and share best practices, methodologies and lessons learned.

Profil der Bewerberin/des Bewerbers

👤 Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Engineering degree in Process Engineering, Automation or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in Advanced Process Control and/or Process Control, ideally in Oil & Gas environments (platforms and refineries).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of industrial processes.
  • Solid command of APC methodologies and ability to manage high-stakes technical projects.
  • Strong analytical, modeling and performance optimization skills.
  • Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.

Soft Skills

  • Autonomous, well-organized and proactive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Open-minded, collaborative and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

Languages

  • Professional proficiency in French and English.
