To support this ambition in Denmark, we are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team at TotalEnergies Upstream Danmark  and contribute to high-quality financial operations across multiple entities and sectors, including renewables and offshore wind.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and supporting statutory and corporate reporting. You will work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to uphold financial integrity and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Statutory Accounting & Reporting: 
  • Participate in the preparation of statutory accounts for Danish entities in compliance with IFRS and Danish GAAP.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely publication of annual reports.
  • Liaise with affiliates and auditors to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Monthly & Quarterly Closing: 
  • Post and process journal entries for all business transactions.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
  • Perform VAT and corporate tax calculations in collaboration with the Tax Department.
  • Support monthly (Galaxy) and quarterly (CAP) corporate reporting.
• Financial Controls & Compliance: 
  • Ensure internal controls are in place and compliant with accounting standards.
  • Review and correct mis-postings in accounts.
  • Maintain documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: 
  • Assist in budget preparation and uploads for various business units.
  • Monitor actuals vs. budget and provide variance analysis.
• System & Process Optimization: 
  • Support migration and integration of financial systems (SAP UNISOL, MBC).
  • Contribute to simplification initiatives across accounting and treasury functions.
• Corporate Restructuration: 
  • Support management, transfer, opening, and closing of affiliates and activities in Denmark.

Your Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting and a desire to grow in a global company.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the energy sector or large project organizations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Danish GAAP, and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel; experience with Galaxy and CAP is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English; Danish language skills are an asset.
