Workplace: Copenhagen or Esbjerg

Are you a talented communicator with a strong interest in the world of energy and sustainability? Do you want to join a leading company within the energy sector? If so, then this position at TotalEnergies could be the perfect fit for you!

TotalEnergies is undergoing an exciting transformation to become a multi-energy company and a leading player within the energy transition while at the same time securing the supply of the energy the world needs today in a responsible way. To support this ambition in Denmark, we are looking for an External Communications Partner to join the Communications & CSR team in Denmark who can help drive communication activities with external stakeholders and media. You will play a central role in developing our positioning within our well-established operations in the Danish North Sea, which cover both traditional oil and gas production as well as future plans to store millions of tons of CO2 in depleted oil and gas fields.

You will report to the Head of External Communications & CSR and become part of a team of four. This team is integrated into the larger Danish Communications department, which consists of 15 dedicated colleagues spread across our Copenhagen and Esbjerg offices. You have the flexibility to be based in either location.

While experience in the offshore energy sector is beneficial, it is not a requirement.

Your areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:

  • Identifying, planning, and executing communication activities around selected core themes such as energy security, carbon reduction, biodiversity, and safety
  • Managing media outreach, handling media requests, and building relationships with key media

You are an engaged communicator with broad skills in handling both digital and traditional media, and you have excellent writing skills in both Danish and English. You have a natural interest in the political and commercial debate surrounding the Danish climate and energy solutions, and you have a good ability to understand and communicate more technical issues. We are looking for a strong team player with a hands-on and a can-do attitude who can think and work strategically.
