You are someone who possesses the following experience and credentials:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, engineering, business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of the North American power industry, commodity and financial trading, and risk management, as demonstrated by a successful trading/analytical track record.
  • Experience with Python, R or Matlab and strong quantitative skills preferred. 
  • Strong desire to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Forward-thinking and performance driven with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.

Aktivitäten

Your missions as a Real-time Power Trader include: 

  • Capture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market conditions. 
  • Execute the strategies defined by the Optimization team and send bids to the different ancillary services markets.
  • Proficiently collect, query and analyze large amounts of data in Excel and accurately presents analytical results.
  • Prioritize deliverables and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Build relationships with Market Participants, and ISO operators.


DIMENSIONS

  • Real-time asset-back trading of power assets managed by TotalEnergies (ownership or third-party affiliates).
  • Monitor SCADA/EMS solutions.
  • Capture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market conditions.
  • Maximize asset-backed revenue with economic dispatch and operational excellence.

The Real-time Power Trader is responsible for executing the trading strategy of TotalEnergies Gas and Power North America. They are expected to perform the activity in such a way to reduce operational risk at all times.
