Join our affiliate TotalEnergies E&P Angola in Luanda !

Block 17 is a key asset for TotalEnergies and a showcase for the company. It is a deep offshore asset located in Angola and operated by TotalEnergies. You will work within the Geosciences team for Area A within Block 17.

The Area A currently comprises three producing fields—Girassol, Rosa, and Dalia—which are operated through two Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units.

As a Reservoir Simulation Engineer, you will carry out your activities under the supervision of the Area A Reservoir Manager and you will be involved in the following activities:

  • Develop reliable production forecasts to support annual reporting exercises, including the Long-Term Plan, Budget, and related evaluations.
  • Assess project-related stakes requiring approval, such as: 
    •  satellite field developments (Manganês, Dalia Norte), 
    • drilling of new wells, and 
    • well intervention programs.
  • Optimize sensitivity simulations for the management of the Dalia field and quantify the associated production or performance gains.
  • Conduct phenomenological simulations to improve understanding of oil displacement mechanisms by water within the reservoir.

Profil der Bewerberin/des Bewerbers

Expected qualifications :

  • Engineering degree specialized in Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience


Technical skills :

  • Numerical Simulation experience (Fluid Flow, Thermodynamics)
  • Preferred experience in Reservoir Simulation


Computing skills :

  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, Data science, coding (Python, VBA,...)


Languages :
  • English: level C1
  • French: level C1
  • Portuguese would be appreciated
