The TotalEnergies Ratawi Hub Affiliate is tagged as a digital affiliate that will focus on early deployment of digital technologies matured in the TotalEnergies portfolio and will be proactive to test new digital solutions as an Affiliate pilot. 

• Work under the direct supervision of the Geosciences Data Manager. 
• Work with Geoscientists concerning data Quality Control (QC), data loading, and to maintain Project Studies databases updated for all Interpretation projects. 
• Commitment in case of unforeseen workload. 
• Respect Corporate Data Management rules – Confidentiality, Preservation and Security of data. 
• Relations with OneTech (OT) Headquarter (HQ) entity. 

Activities

Participate in logging program elaboration and pre-job meetings with contractors.

Ensure operational procedures for well data acquisitions are following HSE guidelines

Perform the appropriate well log data quality control (QC), troubleshooting, environmental corrections and depth match (LWD, WL, Coring).

Gas while drilling follow up of the new wells.

Sonic logs response validation.

LCD (composite logs) construction.

Quantitative logs interpretation (using packages ELAN-type – global optimization and deterministic softwares) of new and legacy wells, following TE standards.

Pressure data validation.

Update logs/core plug measurements database.

PLT interpretations.

Presentation of interpretation results and technical subjects to GSR staff and partners.

Participation in peer reviews and workshops with HQ.

Contribution to the Subsurface reporting and quality improvement.

Accountabilities

Accountable for data quality, petrophysical studies and evaluations of hydrocarbon volumes in place.

Maintains affiliate logs database in GEOLOG (raw data and interpreted data).

Job Dimensions

Interpretation of open-hole logging, cased-hole logging and mudlogging data acquired in the Ratawi field operated by TotalEnergies in Iraq

(geological framework: carbonates & clastics). Follow up PVT sampling and analysis. Follow up speciality studies being conducted at HQ and at contractor’s log analysis centers.

Qualifications/Experience required

Seniority in log analysis: >5 years.

Knowledge of logging tools and their calibration principles (mandatory).

Knowledge of drilling operations (previous experience as wellsite geologist or wireline field engineer or mud-logger will be an advantage).

Knowledge of software logs analysis packages (GEOLOG or TECHLOG and MULTIMIN/ELAN applications).

Academic background: bachelor/master in Geology or Geophysics or Petroleum Geology.

English: fluent (speaking AND writing).

Priority will be given to candidates from Basra.
