To successfully integrate the electricity and renewable energy sectors, TotalEnergies has created a new entity, OneTech, which brings together all the technical and R&D expertise from its business units (Exploration & Production, Refining & Chemicals, Marketing & Services, and Gas, Renewables & Power). With nearly 3,400 engineers and technicians across 9 sites in Europe, OneTech is organized around three divisions: an industrial division to support the Company’s growth in gas, renewable energies, electricity, and CO₂ emissions reduction; a Research & Development division to advance the transformation of TotalEnergies by prioritizing a low‑carbon energy mix; and a support functions division.


TotalEnergies has set an ambitious roadmap for its renewable energy activities, aiming to become one of the major global players in the sector.

To support this ambition, the Integrated Power Modeling (IPM) department within the OneTech branch develops digital tools that help the business design, build, and operate reliable and competitive renewable energy assets.

Aktivitäten

As a Hybrid asset performance monitoring M/F trainee, your objectives will be:

IPM develops digital solutions that help the business operate renewable and flexible assets efficiently, including hybrid and storageenabled systems.

To support the operational rampup of a hybrid renewable asset, we need to monitor performance, detect deviations, and understand key drivers of operational behavior connected to production forecasts. The intern will help define the KPI framework and contribute to developing a monitoring approach and tool.

 

Missions and Tasks:

 • Contribute to defining a clear set of KPIs to assess hybrid renewable asset performance and test the methodology.

 • Participate in the code development of the monitoring tool, including data acquisition, data processing, and KPI visualization.

 • Gain an understanding of the operating philosophy of hybrid renewable assets.

 • Analyze hybrid renewable asset performance using the developed tool and identify potential improvements.

 • Document methods, analyses, results, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.

 • Prepare regular progress updates and a final presentation for internal stakeholders.

You will evolve within a team of experienced professionals and with a tutor-coach, the reference for your future profession. Individualized support will help you develop your autonomy and lead you to your diploma!

Profil der Bewerberin/des Bewerbers

Currently enrolled in an engineering school or a Master’s degree in Research & Development with a specialization in Energy, are you looking for a final-year internship lasting 6 months starting in July 2026?

With an initial experience in optimization techniques, do you have knowledge of renewable energy systems (solar and batteries)? Are you familiar with Python programming and Power BI? Knowledge of DevOps and Git would be an advantage.

Are you comfortable with office tools and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite? You will notably use Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Do autonomy, rigor and a team spirit form an integral part of your qualities?

Are you able to take initiative?

Strong writing skills as well as professional proficiency in English will be essential to succeed in this role.
