• Participates in implementing the organization's procurement strategy within the assigned scope. Effectively follows up and updates the purchasing plan with the business.
• Develops and implements strategic sourcing strategies within the assigned scope. This involves researching and identifying qualified suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and proposals, and choosing the best partners to meet business needs.
• Full responsibility for the sourcing process: This includes developing requests for proposals (RFPs), negotiating contracts, consolidating similar purchases under global tenders, and enforcing full implementation of compliance & business ethics requirements throughout the entire purchasing process.
• Ensures operational efficiency, minimizes errors, improves response times, and maximizes the impact of procurement initiatives. Reviews and validates all goods and services purchase requisitions, ensuring full compliance with procurement procedures.
• Negotiates contracts to secure the best possible terms for the company, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards, ensuring accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Monitors market trends and identifies cost-saving opportunities. Actively seeks ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the procurement process. Implements cost management practices across different categories to drive significant and measurable cost savings.
• Maintains an understanding of the supply market and identifies potential risks and opportunities to enable the business to meet current and prospective business challenges.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and achieve shared goals. Serves as a key collaborator within the procurement problem-solving process, partnering with various stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement solutions for challenges affecting the acquisition of goods and services.
• Conducts key supplier performance evaluations. Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers. This involves fostering open communication, collaborating on solutions, and ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Stays compliant with company policies and regulations. This includes ensuring all purchases adhere to legal and ethical standards, procurement policies, procedures, controls, and relevant TE standards..
• Manages equipment and spare parts import logistics and compliance with regulations (TEME & OPSBA). • Implements a sustainable procurement strategy that integrates environmental and social responsibility.
• Serves as a multitasking senior buyer and performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides coaching and supervision to junior team members.
• Maintains full compliance with all policies, procedures, controls, regulations, Total's established strategies, and local laws.
• Adheres to HSE policies, standards, and requirements, ensuring compliance with all key HSSE aspects of procurement
