Attached to the Base Chemicals Europe Refining Business Unit, the Base Chemicals Marketing division is responsible for the commercialization of olefins (including ethylene) and aromatics across Europe.

The Ethylene & Styrene Europe department specifically manages the ethylene produced by European steam crackers (Antwerp, Normandy and Feyzin). Ethylene is a gas used in the production of many plastics (polyethylene, PVC, polystyrene). It is transported via pipeline and refrigerated vessels.

The European ethylene market is complex, volatile, and constrained, notably due to limited storage capacity and the continuous need to balance steam cracker production with derivatives consumption.

As a Product Flow Coordinator, you will play a key role in balancing production and deliveries, managing stocks, and negotiating spot deals. Every day is different, and your decisions have a direct impact on economic performance.

• Optimize the balance between internal and external production and deliveries
• Manage stock levels across our European sites
• Negotiate spot deals (purchases/sales) together with the Commercial Manager
• Monitor contract execution and identify discrepancies
• Analyze the market and share insights with the commercial team and management

You will collaborate with:

• Economic optimization and logistics teams
• Production sites
• Commercial teams
• Customers, suppliers, traders, and partners

• Master’s degree in commercial or civil engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain / planning / operations
• Bilingual French/English; Dutch is a plus

Rattachée à la Business Unit Raffinage Base Chem Europe, la division Marketing Base Chemicals a pour mission d’assurer la commercialisation des oléfines (dont l’éthylène) et aromatiques au périmètre européen.
 
 Le département Ethylène & Styrène Europe gère plus particulièrement l’éthylène produit par les vapocraqueurs en Europe (Anvers, Normandie et Feyzin). L’éthylène est un gaz qui rentre dans la fabrication de nombreux plastiques (polyéthylène, PVC, polystyrène). Il se transporte par pipeline et bateau réfrigéré.
 Le marché européen de l’éthylène est complexe, volatile et sous contraintes en raison notamment de faibles capacités de stockage et de la nécessité d’équilibrer en permanence la production des vapocraqueurs avec la consommation des dérivés. 

En tant que Product Flow Coordinator, vous jouez un rôle clé dans l’équilibre production/livraisons, la gestion des stocks et la négociation de deals spot. Chaque journée est différente et vos décisions ont un impact direct sur la performance économique.
