The B2B Segment accounts for approximately 5% of global lubricant sales and GMVC for TotalEnergies Ghana, making it a critical contributor to overall business performance.
Ghana hosts over 200 Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) alongside numerous independent lubricant suppliers, intensifying competition and requiring strong differentiation strategies.
Market differentiation among brands is primarily achieved through effective communication of product superiority and robust technical support, which empowers marketing teams to drive product adoption and customer loyalty.
This position plays a strategic role in identifying growth opportunities within the lubricant market and providing sales, marketing, and technical support to expand lubricant sales in the B2B segment.
The responsibilities of the job holder include:
1.Development of lubricant sales on the various segments of B2B Channel through:
Setting of commercial priorities and related action plans in line with Bus and PLTs
Lubricants Reference for General trade business excluding the mines; Manufacturing Industry, Construction, Agriculture, Logistics/Haulage, Oil & Gas, Power/Energy, Service etc
Utilize available digital tools (e.g., Salsa Dynamics, LIFP, MLP, PriceInsight…) to support customer engagement and technical assistance.
Schedule joint visits to GT Clients provide lubrication solutions, Collaborate and provide technical support to the GT team in their lubricant prospection activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including product upgrades, ANAC report reviews for critical samples, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Prospect and sign on new GT lubricant clients and manage the accounts.
Monitor and follow up on competitor strategies, providing insights to B2B & Technical Manager, Lubricants Support Manager and Lubricants Manager for the adaptation of appropriate counter-strategies. Report emerging threats in the B2B segment.
2.Active participation in the achievement of margin and operating income objectives:
Responsibility for driving lubricant sales and realization of margin target on the General trade front.
Provide lubricant technical supports for all General trade customers; technical visits, product recommendation, lube survey, oil analysis, product upgrade, identifying and implementing Continuous
Prepare offers/proposal for new prospects with margin analysis.
3.Improve after sales service through:
Facilitation of regular Lube trainings for GT clients...
Prospect and sign on ANAC customers
Customer engagement in seminars and other segment specific marketing and communication activities.
Full involvement in the organization of Lubricant Seminar for GT clients
A Graduate degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Petrochemical with not less than 3 years Industrial experience in Lubes/ Tribology.
Performance monitoring and measurement capability with continuous KPI implementation and reporting
Strong taste for teamwork with a spirit of synthesis and prioritization of actions, allocation of key resources and interest in innovative solutions
Customer oriented with excellent communication skills.
Able to drive over a long distance and driving experience over 3 years.
