Are you an experienced procurement professional with strong expertise in strategic category management, complex contracting, and stakeholder management within the oil and gas industry?

 

TotalEnergies EP Malaysia (TEPMY) is seeking a Domain Procurement Manager (Drilling & Wells, Logistics and Subsurface) to lead and manage end to end procurement activities across critical business domains, ensuring value delivery, cost optimisation, supply chain risk mitigation, and full compliance with TEPMY, TotalEnergies Global Procurement (TGP) and PETRONAS’ procurement requirements. This position is offered on a contract direct-hire basis for an initial period of three (3) years.

Your Impact

As a Domain Procurement Manager, you will:

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Procurement and Senior Procurement Analysts, ensuring effective workload planning, coaching, performance management and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement category strategies for Drilling & Wells, Logistics and Geoscience, aligned with business objectives, market conditions and procurement planning requirements.
  • Oversee high value and complex sourcing activities, including tendering, supplier negotiations, award recommendations and contract changes.
  • Act as the key procurement business partner to technical stakeholders, Heads of Department, suppliers, PETRONAS, Partners and TGP representatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with TEPMY, TGP, PETRONAS and government regulations, while managing supply chain and contractual risks.
  • Drive process improvement and digitalisation initiatives to streamline procurement activities and support alignment with TGP processes, systems and governance models.
  • Support post award contract management by engaging with contract owners and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure contract performance and maintain alignment across support service domains.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in procurement or contracting, including at least 12 years within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in a Malaysian PAC environment.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of direct supervisory leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing category strategies.
  • Expert knowledge of PETRONAS Procurement Standard (PPS), Production Sharing Contract requirements, and SAP/ARIBA.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high value and complex negotiations.
  • Experience in procurement audits would be an added advantage.
