The Distribution Analyst is responsible for the auditing and validation of transportation related expenses within the contractual obligations established. This position is also responsible for resolving any discrepancies, the accuracy of reporting analysis of payment transactions and maintaining a professional relationship with the vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract analysis of all Rail commitments / settlements for ERS/non-ERS (auto-pay) Rail, and transfer terminal related expenses, which includes auditing, validating, and processing of all invoices maintain the accounts within the contractual obligations.
• Reconciliation of the monthly aging reports for Rail / terminals fees and handling disputes, balance dues and cash application questions.
• Provide backup coverage for the shipment cost document process and complete the understanding of the Distribution Analyst Rail and Ocean related obligations.
• Problem solving and resolution of any rate discrepancies between SAP, the contracts, Sourcing group and external vendors, applying the proper revisions according to contractual agreements and the system.

Education/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a logistics operational environment with a focus on rail.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree – focus in Supply Chain or Accounting / Finance; Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
• Accounts Payable experience strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Proficient in SAP; working knowledge highly preferred.
• Experience with specialized logistics software, such as Railtrac.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
• Strong communication skills—clear, concise, accurate, and timely—while maintaining professionalism and collaboration.
