The Refining & Chemicals legal department is based in both Brussels and Paris. 

The Litigation, Industrial & Commercial Contracts Department, composed of 8 lawyers, is divided between Paris and Brussels and provides legal support to the refining, petrochemical and polymer production sites in Europe, for the marketing of products from our sites, logistics, the purchase of goods and services and industrial and conversion projects at our sites, as well as related litigation. 

As a Litigation and Contracts Lawyer, you will

• support the other lawyers in the team in providing legal support to the businesses,
• analyse, draft and negotiate contracts
• participate in related litigation,
• work under Belgian and French law, and sometimes other laws such as English law. 

The team works in both English and French. The variety of cases and activities followed by the department allows for the rapid acquisition of good practical experience, in both continental and common law.

Expected qualifications:

• Master degree in Business Law

 Technical skills:

• Good knowledge in Commercial, Civil and Common Law
• Good drafting skills
• Ability to analyze and summarize
• Taste for negotiation and teamwork

 Computing skills:

• Good knowledge in IT tools in general (Microsoft Office)

Languages:

• English: level C1
• French: level C1
