Join Our Team as an Interconnection Manager!

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to make a significant impact? We're looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our electrical interconnection efforts. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Innovate: Drive all aspects of electrical interconnection, delivery strategies, and strategic interconnection acquisition for our diverse portfolio.
  • Policy and Compliance: Stay ahead of the curve by assessing and tracking changes to policies, procedures, and tariffs relevant to generation interconnection entities across the US.
  • Technical Excellence: Provide top-notch compliance and technical support, perform routine updates, and keep our project management database current with the latest information.
  • Commissioning Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and support the generator commissioning process to ensure seamless integration.
  • Power Studies: Conduct dynamic and reactive power studies to ensure compliance with grid codes and technical interconnection requirements.
  • Negotiation Skills: Negotiate interconnection agreements, ensuring our projects meet utility and ISO standards.
  • Due Diligence: Support project acquisition due diligence with your expertise.
  • Advocacy: Participate in technical and policy-based committees to advocate for favorable decisions for renewable energy projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grid codes and regulations.
  • Mentorship: Mentor Interconnection Engineers and key organizational stakeholders through the ISO/RTO interconnection processes.

Perfil del candidato

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in electrical engineering
  • +10 years of experience working with energy transmission planning or renewable generation; combination a plus. At least 5 years of experience must have included performing engineering review and/or analysis of electric generation and transmission projects.
  • Experience performing power flow simulations using PSS/E, PowerWorld, and/or TARA.

Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of the RTO/ISO transmission planning and generation interconnection processes of one or more of the following markets: CAISO, PJM, SPP, MISO, ERCOT, SERC, NYISO, WECC. 
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to ensure clear communication internally with other departmental teams.
