We're looking for a highly qualified engineer with a scientific or technical background (minimum MSc) and over 15 years' experience in process, engineering and project work in high-risk technology industries. You will have in-depth expertise in technological risk assessment, process safety and oil facility design, with significant experience in the Oil & Gas sector. Your background may include operational, HSE and consulting roles.

You are recognized for your excellent communication and synthesis skills, both oral and written, and you are organized, dynamic, open-minded and diplomatic. Fluency in spoken and written English and French is essential.

As a Process Safety Expertise Engineer, your main tasks will be as follows: 

• Repository, methods & tools: Develop, update and harmonize internal rules, guides and tools for technological risk assessment. Ensure the evolution of HSE specifications in coordination with technical managers.
• Competence and training: Maintain a high level of expertise, disseminate know-how and ensure a technological watch through training courses and professional committees.
• Networks and communication: Coordinate and lead the network of process safety and technological risk assessment correspondents. Represent the Group in external bodies and with partners.
• Assistance: Apply methods and tools for analyzing technological risks in collaboration with the Major Risks department. Participate in technical audits and advise management on HSE issues.
• Other: Investigate requests for exemptions from internal rules and general specifications in the field of technological risks.

Occasional travel is required.

Reporting to the Major Risks Division, the Process Safety Expertise and Integrity Management Department provides expertise in risk analysis, technological risk management and the technical integrity of facilities. The department is a reference for HSE methods, drafts reference documents, harmonizes tools and organizes specialized training courses. As a Process Safety Expertise Engineer, your role will include process safety support and assistance for all Group entities.
