TotalEnergies, one of the world’s leading energy producers, is deploying a cross-functional Research & Technology (R&T) program dedicated to Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS). This strategic initiative spans three countries and aims to support the development of a full-scale, end-to-end CCS industry.
Within this framework, CO₂ transport is a top priority, as it is a critical link in the CCS value chain. Norway, a pioneer in CCS for over 30 years, plays a leading role in advancing CCUS technologies, with more than €2 billion in public funding invested over the past two decades.

Your mission:
You will join the CO₂ Transport team at the TotalEnergies research center in Stavanger, Norway, contributing to R&T activities where flow assurance and process engineering are key to developing and validating CO₂ transport solutions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting numerical simulations to test, compare, and validate various software tools: LedaFlow, OLGA, Multiflash, Unisim, ProII, Aspen Plus/HYSYS.
  • Supporting experimental campaigns as part of joint R&T projects.
  • Presenting benchmarking results internally at TotalEnergies and engaging with software developers to discuss findings.

It is expected that flow assurance will account for approximately 60% of your working time, with the remaining 40% dedicated to process engineering tasks.
