Context & Environment

Within the EP Financial Reporting team, this position aims at providing full operational support on the end-to-end process of the Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting of EP US Onshore Gas Assets.

The position reports formally to the Manager – Financial Reporting within EP Finance Direction. However, operationally, it shall support the Senior Reporting Advisor Gas Shale in his day-to-day activities, on all aspects of the financial budgeting and reporting process. 


Key Responsibilities:

Revenues Accounting

  • Support on monthly and forecast production estimates in liaison with geosciences team, support on production analysis.
  • Ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable related to gas revenues.
  • Ensure correct and timely posting by the accounting shared service center.
  • Estimate and post revenue accruals.

 

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Record monthly journal entries for JV Production Costs & Capex, Payables, ARO, Opex costs and allocations, Taxes, and Intercompany transactions.
  • Lead SAP account reconciliations within scope, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Provide support during quarter-end close processes helping in the reconciliation between Galaxy and CAP.

 

Joint Venture & Cost Monitoring

  • Assist in monitoring monthly Joint Venture billings.
  • Provide inputs of Volume, Capex and Opex in tracking tools that help support Shale Asset VP and Finance team analysis.
  • Obtain payment approvals for JIBs (Joint Interest Billings) received from partners and execute corresponding bookings.
  • Obtain approvals and book AFEs (Authorizations for Expenditures) in line with business and finance guidelines

 

Treasury & Asset Management

  • Review monthly Loan & Deposits summaries from Treasury team, assess movements and assign them to corresponding assets using the tracking tool.
  • Coordinate with the accounting shared service center to ensure SAP reflects accurate SWTX bank information provided by Treasury

 

Reporting & Controls

  • Load monthly financial data in Galaxy/Galyz (financial reporting applications), ensuring consistency with SAP.
  • Perform control checks between SAP and Galaxy/Galyz, escalating discrepancies as needed.
  • Support the preparation of financial presentations, including charts and comments, for executive and HQ meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy, data integrity and process efficiency.

Context and environment:

The Onshore Gas Assets are non-operated assets, newly acquired in 2024, and fall within TotalEnergies growth strategy in the upstream gas sector in the US.

The Financial Reporting team works closely with the Gas Asset Business Unit. It aims to be the Finance Business Partner to this unit, providing them with adequate financial follow up and performance indicators. The addition of the Revenue & Cost Accountant will strengthen the team and reinforce the position of the financial reporting team as the Finance Business Partner of the Gas Assets Director.


Accountabilities:

Monitor and support on AFE, CAPEX and OPEX activities, including cash calls, budgets and forecasts

Ensure proper support to Manager – Finance Reporting and Senior Reporting Advisor.

Ensure accuracy and timely reporting

Ensure alignment between the reporting tools and SAP.

Candidate Profile

Education/Experience:

    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
    • Adaptability and fast learning skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interpret and reconcile data.  
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
