Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is highly recommended. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Planning, Scheduling, of large projects, with at least 5 years in PV and Wind Projects, with 1 project fully completed. In case PV and Wind experience cannot be ensured, the candidate shall demonstrate that he/she has an outstanding profile with 5 years minimum experience in a similar environment. 
  • Experience on the EPC side is mandatory.  Experience as a Project Developer/Owner is welcome. 
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 Planning & Scheduling Software and tools related to project control (including but not limited to MS Project and other Microsoft Office Suite tools). 
  • Willingness to be located at the Construction site during the construction period 
  • Should be accurate, methodical, and organized.  Also have a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills. 
  • A valid Driver’s license

Activities

The main purpose of this position is to manage the project plan and controls and provide the Project Management Team with regular updates:

 Technical requirements and responsibilities:

  • Detailed analysis and continuous understanding/implementation of the PPA and EPC Contracts in all aspects relating to planning and reporting. 
  • Developing Projects WBS and Schedules 
  • Support the financial team in terms of verification of payment milestones achievement and expected payment status based on the schedule analysis. 
  • Support other workstreams, including Engineering and Economic Development by providing inputs and planning services. 
  • Continuous coordination with all project disciplines and Project Director to ensure full real-time understanding of project health and risks. 


Planning and control:

  • Together with the EPC Contractor, responsible of development and maintenance of the Project Schedule and project control procedures, including the correct implementation of all project control tools, such as WBS, progress curves, monthly/weekly updates and reporting. 
  • Continuous monitoring of the Critical Path activities, with special attention to implementation of proper milestones and KPIs for anticipated warning to the Project Management team, focusing on de-risking the Project. 
  • Ensure the proper implementation, together with the EPC Contractor, of the detailed project control tools, focusing on the preparation of the Level 3-4 schedules and different detailed registers for proper monitoring of the weekly progress. 
  • Schedule narrative analysis and review of low float activities (mainly critical and sub-critical activities) 
  • Progress Curves review (overall Project S-Curve; Engineering S-Curve; Procurement S-Curve; Construction S-Curve; Commissioning S-Curve), Resource histogram, plan and actual and productivity calculation report. 
  • Review updated Project Schedules with baseline schedule comparison 
  • Critical Path analysis 
  • Recovery Plans review 
  • Key Dates and Milestones status review
  • Manage the Project risk register


Reporting:

  • Compile final Progress progress reports and ensure timeous delivery of progress reports to management
  • Review and provide comments to the weekly and monthly progress reports provided by the EPC Contractors, with special focus on all contractual issues that can be a risk for the Project Company or the schedule itself. 
  • Develop Project Company control management plans for reporting


Document Control: 

Review all project management reporting documents on Electronic Document Management System (eDMS) provided by the EPC Contractors 

In the event that any claim is arising in the project: responsible to prepare/analyze/configure the different analysis required to address the claim.
