Activities

Depots and Commercial customer installations: Maintenance construction & engineering.

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; and ensures that designs are fit for purpose and in line with Group Standards.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Ensures Safety rules and standards are adhered to, and HSEQ targets as set out by Group are achieved.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with local and Group regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • To conduct project feasibility studies for engineering and construction projects; preparing documentation, drawings and recommendation for execution of project.
  • To guide the draughtsman or consultants in preparation of the construction drawings.
  • To provide regular updates to technical manager regarding the projects and providing explanations on any delay with regards to the projects.
  • Ensure compliance to regulation as well as safety of people and properties on site.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out as per schedules.
  • Checks that the maintenance contracts are applied correctly (SLA’s) and steers locally the contracts particularly about the HSEQ subjects.
  • Handles work requests that cannot be solved simply through general contracts.
  • Ensures constant good relations with the customer representatives (Regional Sales Managers, Area Key accounts specialists/Territory managers etc), the staff in charge of transport fuel deliveries, and HSEQ division.
  • Manages the AUC Process for work under his/her control.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualification B.Sc or B.tech – electrical, mechanical civil engineering or relevant experience Minimum years’ experience – 5 to 7 years in the relevant fields
  • Experience in project management for engineering from beginning to end
  • Technical experience with regards to understanding and applying technical knows how. English is the working language
