Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC (“TERUSA”) has set ambitious targets to develop/acquire, construct, operate and own (i) solar utility-scale power plants (UPP), with both public and private offtakers; and (ii) energy storage systems (ESS), around the world.  The U.S. is a key market to achieve these targets, and our goal is to aggressively establish a sizable UPP & ESS portfolio, both through greenfield development & strategic acquisitions. The Project Controls Analyst will act according to TotalEnergies policies and compliance values.

Activities

The Project Controls Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Analyze and execute distributions and assessments of invoice costs to capital projects.
  • Actively manages the invoice inbox to review and route for necessary approvals via Microsoft Business Central
  • Validates vendor invoices and performs draft goods receipts.
  • Assist budget owners and project managers with monthly accruals and other cost estimates.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly cost forecasting exercises.
  • Actively engage with project engineers and managers to understand project-related priorities, needs, and communicate insights into solutions with the ERP System
  • Collect, transform, and analyze required data to address ad-hoc requests, or to test ideas and identify budget/project opportunities from the ERP system.
  • Prepare and coordinate cost reports per the cost breakdown structure.
  • Performs any other duties as directed by the Project Controls Manager.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost controls is required; experience in Renewables or Oil and Gas is preferred.
  • Shows proficiency in communication. Displays solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in project control tools, including Microsoft Business Central.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards and professionalism, given the sensitive nature of the work.
  • Good team player: willingness to help, commitment towards the preservation and growth of a professional and healthy working environment, confidence, and competence to deliver.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of business support activities (e.g., commercial, accounting)
