Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Gas and Power North America (TGPNA) is TotalEnergies’ US trading affiliate, engaged in marketing and trading, transportation, storage, export, and other commercial activities to support the Company’s US energy portfolio. The portfolio primarily includes Natural gas and Natural Gas Liquids, a fast-growing Power segment, and Environmental Products, which are all crucial to TotalEnergies’ global integrated strategy.

Natural gas and Power are energies of the future.  Both products are critical components of the energy transition, helping shift the Company’s energy mix towards a more sustainable, responsible, and less carbon-intensive portfolio.  Natural gas and LNG is a priority of the Company as a flexible source of power generation, helping decarbonize electricity and industry while also balancing the intermittency inherent in renewables.  Power is firmly a core business for the Company, and TotalEnergies is quickly developing a broad power portfolio in the US across the electricity value chain.  Natural gas liquids are fundamental building blocks underpinning the petrochemical division, as well as TotalEnergies’ global strategy to strengthen its position across the energy value chain and transform and develop products or intermediates used to manufacture a variety of everyday goods.  Finally, Environmental Products are needed to assist the Company in the transition to a low-carbon future and balance its broad energy portfolio.

The Gas, Renewables, and Power (GRP) segment is the critical market access point for the Company, providing a number of commercial solutions and support, including structuring, risk management, general and specific market expertise, and direct access to a broad customer network.  The US Gas Origination Team, which operates within the Trading Market Access and Proprietary Trading arm of GRP and within the fast-evolving and competitive US energy markets, is deeply involved in all of these activities, helping achieve TotalEnergies’ s strategy to be a multi-energy company prioritizing energies of the future.

TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP) is the trading arm of TotalEnergies in the field of low carbon energies (mainly gas, LNG and power). As such it operates in fast-evolving market dynamics influenced by internal and external factors that require constant adaptation and evolution. Uncertainties specific to the trading environment (volatility of prices, supply & demand mismatches) are coupled with those coming from the broader energy sector (climate change policies, changes in the energy mix, developments of new energy sources, etc). In such context TGP helps to ensure growth and profitability to a key segment of the business in order to reach the objective of Carbon Neutrality by 2050.

Our Culture:
We are committed to meet the energy needs of a growing population while fulfilling our ambition to be a major player in the energy transition. The volatility of the energy trading markets requires excellence in risk management and a culture of innovation.

Our people flourish in an environment that promotes expertise, entrepreneurship spirit, agility and a purpose-driven culture, generating boundless opportunities to learn, grow and achieve collaborative success while ensuring safety in all our operations.

We look for passion, ambition and open-mindedness. While we evolve in a demanding and ever-changing industry, we cultivate a friendly workplace where team spirit and respect guide our daily routine, and where the diversity of our people and their skills create a nourishing experience for all of us.
