Candidate Profile

Qualification 
  • Minimum Degree in Engineering / Sustainability / HSE with at least 5 years of working experience in related function
  • Good understanding of ISO standards, Energy Management System, Sustainability policy will be an advantage 
  • SCEM and ISO 50001 auditor certified
  • A team player with strong leadership, interpersonal communication and analytical skills
  • Experience in facilitating change and openness to innovation and operational excellence

Activities

General

  • Plan and organize, in coordination with relevant departments, the deployment of sustainability program to promote awareness, competency, and culture in sustainability
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategies to reduce energy consumption, CO2 emission, and environmental impact through process optimization and evaluation of low-carbon, energy-efficient, and/or environmentally-friendly technical solutions
  • Evaluate the design of new projects and purchases to minimize the energy consumption, CO2 emission, environmental pollution and waste
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of energy, CO2 emissions and environmental impact KPIs
  • Participate in sharing of REX and best practices with other affiliates within the Company

 

 Carbon Emission and Energy Consumption Management

  • Collaborate with different functions to ensure accurate data collection on CO2 emissions from plant operation and logistics transportation activities
  • Provide expertise in improving energy efficiency of processes and collaborate with process owners
  • Lead a cross-function energy team to upkeep the implementation of GHG and energy management system, promote awareness and drive energy savings and CO2 reduction
  • Conduct energy audits to ensure compliance to ISO 50001 requirements and continual improvement to the overall Energy Management System
  • Conduct energy review, establish roadmap and long term plan projects, ensure alignment with business objectives and strategies and achieve continual reduction of CO2 emission
  • Coordinate feasibility studies with operations team and external vendors to identify potential improvements to energy efficiency
  • Develop business cases for energy and CO2 reduction projects

 

Health, Safety, Environment, Communities

  • Upkeep HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance to the local regulations, ISO standards, One MAESTRO, and PATROM
  • Develop waste management strategies to ensure data accuracy, continual reduction of waste and improvement of recycling rate
  • Monitor and evaluate the environmental impact from our operations air emissions, water effluents, and potential pollution to land
  • Collaborate with consultants to develop biodiversity action plan
  • Support in engaging and maintaining a constructive dialogue with relevant stakeholders and neighbours to identify and prevent negative impacts of plant operations on local community
  • Launch Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM+)

 

Others

  • Contribute to driving the culture and openness to innovation
  • Develop digitalization projects to improve HSE processes
  • Support the department in managing department expenses
