ESS division for Saft strengthens the company's ability to serve the global energy storage market and to support the transition to renewable energy.


We are looking as soon as possible for a Field Services Engineer to provide technical support on the field. The Field Services Engineer is accountable for :

- Installation & Commissioning of new Lithium ion Energy Storage Systems (Containers) for EMEA regions and in specific cases worldwide.

- Operation & Maintenance Service support for legacy lithium ion products.

Activities


  • Analyze/understand Customer application.
  • Ensure adaptation of product : battery solution, PCS/MVPS, MV/HV gear, and overall plant setup to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure conditions of use and maintenance onsite are compliant with the product.
  • Reassure customers of applicability of Saft solutions vs. the competition.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application problems in the field along with Engineering.
  • Provide remote monitoring & diagnostic support to sites as required and when applicable.
  • Train local 3rd party providers/sub-contractors with routine preventive and corrective maintenance and coordinate with them to resolve system issues as quickly as possible.
  • Support the bidding process with any related past field experience.
  • Acquire Product knowledge and adapt to changing market requirements.
  • Collaborate in the analysis and structure that characterize various service scenarios.
  • Establish onsite Saft position on subjects like safety, charge, maintenance, operation, reliability, etc. and implement with customers.
  • Help In the creation and transmittal of field knowledge to the Engineering Teams, Customers, and 3rd party partners/subcontractors :

-Define technical content of technical information such as: documents, Diagnostic Software/hardware tooling, technical literature (example: user manuals) and support their publication.

-Define and conduct Training Sessions.

  • Ensure In field-service function at customer/partner facilities and test labs, providing services such as:

-Service Intervention.

-Training of customer and 3rd party partners/subcontractors.

-Verification of product functionality.

-System and Component Troubleshooting.

-Component replacement.

  • Guarantee compliance and promotion of Corporate Safety Policies.
  • Analyse customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile


  • Engineer, technical and electrical skills/knowledge (energy, electronics, electrical engineering, automation, etc...)
  • Experience on the field. Work experience Outdoor and in an international environment Knowledge of batteries.
  • Knowledge of applications.
  • Knowledge in electricity
  • REA certification :

-Having completed 20 hours of training related to prevention in construction and in their specific specialty.

-Having completed 60 hours of training to qualify as a “Safety Resource” on site, plus 6 hours of training in their specialty.
